立岩と立巌

新潟市方面から角田山と弥彦山の海側に海蝕海岸を眺めながらシーサイドラインを走ると道路から40メートルほど離れた海に立岩という名前の岩が見えます。そのまま１２キロほど走ると、旧字体ですが同じ名前の岩がもう一箇所あります。同じ名前でもこちらは砂の上に佇立しています。こちらも昔は海の中だったのかもしれません。

After driving about 12 kilometers, you will see another rock with the same name, although it is written in the old alphabet. This one has the same name, but stands on the sand. It may have once been in the sea.
