The Minakawa River, which flows through the rich, Yairo village of Yashiro, has little surface water, as its name suggests. Although it is a first-class river, its course is only 13 kilometers long. Thanks to the soft water, which is rich in groundwater and snowmelt, it is suitable for brewing, and in recent years, food-related factories that depend on the blessings of the clear stream have been built in the lower reaches. During the snowy season, it is possible to cross the river. On this day, there was no need to worry about getting wet, and I walked along the snowy surface, leaving footprints behind, feeling like a rabbit. I was able to capture a two-shot of the snow and the source of the river, Komagatake Mountain.
